Seeking counselling is a courageous gift to give yourself when you are dealing with challenges in life and would benefit from some extra support. I have been working in education, advocacy, case management, and youth mental health for the past 20 years. I am a Registered Social Worker and my work is informed by anti-oppression, intersectionality, social justice, harm reduction, neurodiversity, and positive psychology. I take an approach to well-being that understands the interconnectedness of our whole being.

As part of my counselling practice, I offer to teach meditation and breathing techniques to calm the mind. My approach is collaborative and honors the strengths and wisdom that everyone brings to their healing journey.  Our biggest healing breakthroughs can come from cultivating self-love and having kindness and compassion for ourselves. Self-love helps us boost our self-confidence and skyrocket into our happiest and most joyful life. I believe that all of our struggles connect to social and structural realities, and understanding this allows us to cultivate more kindness for ourselves and others.

As someone on a personal and ongoing journey of self-exploration, I understand the importance of compassionate self-acceptance in discovering our potential. Self-discovery is a courageous and fundamental process for personal growth. My approach to therapy focuses on empowering clients to recognize their personal strengths and capacities to tackle life's challenges with grace and humility.

As a trained teacher and a holder of a Master's of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I have extensive work experience in clinical and educational spaces. I approach my work from a culturally humble lens, recognizing that my clients are the experts of their own experiences. By adopting a not-knowing stance, we can engage in mutual inquiry through collaborative dialogue to explore your unique perspective and experiences.

My goal is to create a space free of judgment where you can feel comfortable discovering your most authentic self. I offer services in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey of self-exploration and acceptance!

As a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), I have extensive experience working with individuals with ADHD and also have lived experience. This personal insight has driven me to develop a deeper understanding of the unique gifts & challenges ADHD presents.

ADHD-focused therapy could be helpful to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and related trauma.

When you implement and integrate the practices to calm your nervous system, you will feel energized, confident, and able to engage more fully as you manage your day-to-day life. This decrease in overwhelm will create the space you need to fulfill your potential as you generate the results you desire.

As your therapist, I draw from evidence-based theories for growth and change. On our journey together, I will help you make meaning and find purposeful direction. In doing so we will create a compassionate, culturally responsive space through presence, relationship, and self-acceptance. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

Works With:

  • Individuals (Adults, Elders)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a late-diagnosed autistic person. I have experienced my own challenges of feeling ‘different’ and navigated mental health issues as I came to understand myself and my own needs. I understand how challenging and freeing it can be to process your identity and that it is not always a linear path. My experience as a client in therapy has had a great influence on how I developed my own approach to working with clients. I approach therapy from a gentle and curious stance, as I aim to meet my clients where they are at in their healing journey.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to better understand themselves and to work collaboratively to address any challenges along the way. I believe that every client has unique needs that deserve to be honored through a personalized and tailored approach to care. I use an integrative approach with my clients, meaning that I have experience in different therapeutic modalities that I will adapt to best fit my client’s needs.

I hope that my clients may find meaning in their past and present experiences and that it can be transformative in how they perceive themselves, others, and the world around them. â€‹â€‹
